Now that Larry King and Oprah have both recently featured the Secret on their shows, it's creating quite the buzz; and buzz that's well deserved. Rhonda Byrne, producer of the Secret, has brought us a well produced film that features some of the greatest personal development gurus around today. I first heard about the Secret right before it was released in March 2006 and watched it shortly thereafter. I absolutely loved it.
I'm a strong believer in being a life-learner and never becoming complacent. The Secret's concepts weren't new to me nor was "the secret" itself, which is the law of attraction. Even though the information wasn't new to me, it was definitely good to get a refresher on it, and hear all the wisdom that is offered in the Secret.
The material in the film is produced and delivered in a very compelling manner that moves you into action and reminds you to "mind your mind," which can be very challenging. It takes work on a daily basis, and if you can master it, you will not only have a life of harmony, but you will achieve your goals and manifest your dreams into reality.
Ok, now for the 30-day challenge. I received an email a few days ago from Andy Wibbels (if you don't know Andy and are a newbie to blogging and want to start your own blog, but don't know how, he's your guy!) that had in the subject line: Skeptical About 'The Secret'? Since I love the Secret, I couldn't resist opening it and reading what Andy had to say about it. He had a great idea to challenge ourselves (or not) and put the Secret in action.
At first, I thought, I'm continually working on myself, I think I'll pass. Nice idea, but I'm already doing it. But then as I thought about it some more, I realized that there are two items that I could use some movement on, so I am jumping into this challenge with both feet.
For those of you who want to jump in, too, and manifest your goals and dreams into reality, here's a few tips from Jack Canfield, success coach and author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series, to get you going:
- Clarify what you want
- Create a clear vision
- Energize your vision with daily affirmations and visualization (Remember, your thoughts become your reality)
- Take obvious actions and inspired actions
- Commit to an "Hour of Power" everyday, which is committing and disciplining yourself to doing 20 minutes everyday of each: reading (material that will grow you, inspire you and move you into action); exercising; and meditation.
- Persevere and never give up!
By taking Andy up on his offer to join the 30-day challenge, it will not only help me accomplish more, but it will also be a great motivator to hear about how it's helping others manifest their goals and dreams. And of course, Andy is so much fun, so it will be a blast to do this as a group with Andy!
Whatever it is that you want more of, less of, or anything else, you can have it. You just have to put those thoughts into action. If you notice that your thoughts have been about losing weight, getting out of debt, quitting your job and starting your own business, or taking that dream vacation that you’ve put off for years, whatever it is, take this challenge seriously and you will manifest those thoughts and desires into reality. Join us on this challenge (or not). You'll be amazed at what can happen in 30 days.
